CUTTING EDGE INTERVIEW WITH ADRIAN KING!

Never would i have thought to talk to someone as interesting as him, young like me, who's accomplished alot, who's dedicated to achieving even much more. I haven't been blogging that long, but I've seen some amazing blogs made by people who share the same interest as me. When i came to his and read his post ''somersault'' i wanted to know more about his love for writing, his style and talents. this is my interview with Adrian King.

CE -What made you start your clothing line?

AK - Well i was interested n making money with my artwork, but the posters i was making wasnt really doing it. n i thought to myself "ppl love clothing, clothing is a nessesity, n ppl love style" so i decided if i put my artwork on clothing then i wuld definitely make money. so i printed my 1st shirt. took it 2 a local boutique n it sold the first day.

CE - how much was it and who was it sold to?

AK -my first shirt sold sometime n january for $25 and i never met the person who purchased it. i havent seen them around my city either. but to this day im always on look out, haha.

CE -who inspires you when it comes to fashion and art?

AK -i am inspired mainly by music and hip-hop culture, The Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Kanye, P.O.S, Mr.Lif, MF DOOM, and many others. i close my eyes and let the beat flow through my entire body down to my finger tips and on to the paper. and as far as fashion goes, Mikey Rocks is my main inspiration. i love his style, its relaxed n very, old skool. he doesnt even try, and niether do i. it just comes together.

CE - so what do you want to accomplish by 20-21?

AK -by the time i turn 21 i plan to have conquered the east coast completely. with my art and my music. i want to walk down the street and have people i dont know, know me. i just want to inspire everyone to become the person they wish they were, bcuz all that time they spent wishing culd have been spent paving a road to greatness. theres a quote i read in an article about lady gaga, it says "Most artists want you to buy their music so that they can buy diamond watches and range rovers. But I just want your soul. "i just want your soul. i want to inspire everyone that called me out of my race, or called me gay for wearing the clothes i wear, or made fun of me in any way. to see that if i did it, they can do it too. and i hope when they see me and how far ive come, they think to themselves "wow, ignorance is a plague that must be irraticated bcuz my ignorance prevented me from knowing such a great person." hopefully they will go as far as i plan to go. im fighting hate with love, and fueling love with passion and optimism.

CE - WOW! Thats very inspiring! Okay, the whole east coast thats huge! Any particular label u wish to sign with..or do you wanna be independent?

AK - ya kno, i havent thought about it. i just want to create for now, i'll worry about the kinks later. but probably whatever label wuld b willing to have me. i'd be gunning for sony records, or williams street records. but i definitely want my art and music to work hand in hand.

CE - definitely. adrian to me ur not like alot of teens ur really on ur grind for success and to fulfill ur dreams (which is really kewl to me)....weird question..but do you think ur different?
frm other teens?

AK -all my life ive felt alot like an outsider, ive known i was different all my life. i used to think i was lame bcuz of what everyone else wuld say about me. but eventually i saw that nothing was wrong with me. sometimes i think to myself "earth is overrated" like i belong somewhere else other than this rock we live on. but when it comes down to it, i dont think im different i just think im me. all i kno is how to be me. i was born, and this is what/who i am. I didnt choose a thing. Im an old soul in a young vessel.

CE - Being urself is AWESOME! so i believe ur gonna be HUGE one day with everything nd im gonna see u on MTV and The Today show..but if u could do have any career besides anything doing with music,art or fashion what would it be?

AK - definitely dance, i love dancing more than food sometimes. breaking, poping, locking, tutting, gliding . . i love it all. the way sound forces a persons body to moves is facinating to me. Or possibly a career in sports. ive been skateboarding for 8 years and its a big part of my life .

CE - wow..do u come up with ur own moves or do you sorta mix it up? Are you sponsered in skateboarding?

AK - i create alot of my own moves. but i mix it up, if my friends do something i like then i learn it. and no, im not sponsored, its purely for sport. but i do compete.

CE - kewl...sooooo...ur blog..why did u start one?

AK - i started my blog bcuz i have a hard time keeping track of my work. so i figured if i put it online all in 1 place i can view it all whenever i'd like plus everyone else culd see it too. and whereever i am when im networking and theres a computer near by i can just hop on it and show them my work.

CE - very kewl..do you think it will help with career?

AK - i think it will. staying organized with my art has tought me 2 be organized with everything else i do as well. although im still teaching myself to b organized with my music.

CE - Well its been really AWESOME doing this interview with you Adrian. I as well as Cutting Edfe totally appreciate it. I hope that we can do this again!

It started when we were out of town (me nd family) me and my sister obviously took our cell phones with us kuz we like to txt nd keep ntouch with friends (mind you were not TXT-aholics,but our parents think we are). But anyway we take our phones and we start to notice that we CANT call or txt at weird times and when we try we get a txt or voice saying we cant do this right now!! This goes on for days and our parents say they dont kno whats going on either with our fone! BUT THAT WAS A BIG ASS LIE! THEY PUT FLIPPIN RESTRICTED TIMES ON OUR PHONES!! SO WE CANT CALL OR TEXT AT CERTAIN TIMES!! AND IM ABOUT TO GO FUCKING BALLISTIC!

HERES THE IRONIC THING..MY SIS MISPLCED HER FONE!! WE CANT CALL IT, IT WONT RING KUZ WERE N A DAMN RESTRICTED TIME!! AHAHAHA(that was a SARCASTIC LAUGH)

A RACIST FLYER was put on our CAR!

Let me start out with this! IM AM NOT A RASCIST! NEVER EVEN THOUGHT THAT WAY! I HAVE VERY LOVING FAMILY, FRIENDS AND TEACHERS FROM ALL DIFFERENT, ETHNICITY (black, white, hispanic,islamic nd more) RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS AND PERSONAL VALUES, WHO I CARE ABOUT AND WHO CARE FOR ME DEEPLY!

Today i went to Walmart to get a few things with my family, when we came out there was a RACIST FLYER on our car as well as on several other cars in the parking lot! The paper was talking about a meeting for white patriots only! Its was talking about wanting to take back OUR country! It was also talking about how the government needs to go back to the way it used to be! It talked about illegal immigrants and how theres a dumbing down in schools everywhere because of blacks and hispanics!

I try not to think about it but its stuck in my mind! I just dont get why people still feel this way!?

---Today, I saw an elderly man fall in a crosswalk, so I jumped off my bike to help. As I helped him across, the light turned green. At that point I noticed my phone had fallen out of my pocket in the street and was run over by several cars. I then watched across a 6 lane street as someone stole my bike. FML

---Today, my husband dropped me off at work, ten minutes later I got a text saying" I just dropped the b*tch off I'll be there in a few baby, miss you". I asked him about it he said he "I dont know what youre talking about Megan". My name isnt Megan, not even close. FML

---Today I noticed that my daughter was making funny noises which oddly resembled sex sounds my wife makes. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I'm pretending to be mommy from last night." I was on a business trip last night. FML

The CLEVELAND SHOW!!!

Hahahahahahah. Okay first things first, Whoever watches FAMILY GUY raise your hand?! YOUR HAND SHOULD RAISED! If u dont watch it your missing out on PURE COMEDY!
ANYWAY....Cleveland from family guy is getting his own show!!! Wikipedia says its a spinoff from family guy, it also says...Cleveland will officially leave Family Guy, but Seth MacFarlane (creator) has hinted that he may come back for occasional visits if necessary. The show, which was scheduled to debut in the beginning of 2009, is set to premiere September 27, 2009.

Mike Henry (voice of Cleveland) says....Cleveland has kind of had enough in Quahog—he kind of realizes that he wants his own friends, his own sidekicks, his own stories. So he sets out to California to make it in a way that we'll have to keep a secret until the show starts, and then he ends up somewhere else, which we'll also keep a secret until the show starts. But he basically goes home—he goes to his hometown in Virginia and rekindles an old high school flame.

Its been highly publicized that Whitney Houston is working on a comeback album. Well after a 7yr hiatus that album will be released on Sept 1st! It is a highly anticipated album to see if the R&B diva still has what it takes to rule the charts!
Another highly anticpated album to come out this year is Ushers! His ''Here I stand'' album failed to make the same impact as his ''Confessions'' album. So he is working on a new cd titled ''Monster" (must be talking bout his ex wife ahaha) to be released later this fall.SO WHAT DO YOU THINK!? Will they make a huge impact on the r&b world!?

Just when I though Reality tv couldnt get any dumber they get Terrell Owens and give him a show!

Someone please, please tell me why one of the GREATEST NFL players has a Reailty tv show! This man DOES NOT NEED A SHOW! I believe when a "celebrity'' of any kind gets their own reality show they either did something bad/wrong and they gonna make it up by getting a show to show america that theyre doing good or they need a lil MONEY in they pocket cause they movies aint doin to well or they records aint sellin! BUT! Terrell Owens dont need no money and he hasnt done anything wrong! I did read that HE HAD controversy with teams, you know what you do then.... GROW UP SAY UR SORRY PUBLICLY AND MOVE ON! This is what Wikipedia says about the show --It follows Owens and his "best friends (Monique Jackson) and publicists (Kita Williams)" as they re-evaluate Owens' personal life, while battling the two sides of his personality and also trying to find romance for him. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK!?

Im watchn MTV today and out of nowhere Jim Jones appears and starts to freestyle and ITS WEAK!! DUDE freestyle sounded like a 1st graders poem! If he was spittin it from the top of the dome there must NOT be much up there kuz it was whack! I mean I haven't even heard of him since ''We Fly High..Ballin''. Oh yea hes comin out with a documentary ''This is Jim Jones"'! Never would i watch it! I dont need a Documentary on Jim Jones its called Google nd Wikipedia. I WANNA KNO WHAT YOU THINK!?

Reality TV - Its getting OLD!

Im getting BORED with some of todays REALITY TV! Wanna know why?! The Answer - It aint REAL! Some shows that i believe are actually reality would be ones like The Real World or Survivor or HELLS Kitchen and theres plenty more that are REAL ..... except the ''REALITY DATING'' TV SHOWS that have some WASHED UP or SLOW RISING entertainer looking for love or some type of companionship... That CRAP IS WHACK! ahahah. They give the supposed star a tv show with 2-3 seasons to find "LOVE'' if they dont find it OH WELL! [ur comback failed]. But to keep the REALITY DATING SHOW trend goin they take one of the guys or girls from the show and give them thier own show so they can find LOVE?! And NO theyre not in it for the money!? YEAH RITE THATS ALL THEY WANT!!!

My Phone is CRAP! Ive got some type of att/nokia CHEAP phone! I didnt pay for it so theres not much i can say but that I NEED A NEW PHONE NOW!! I got the money but idk whats holding me back.
